Awana Coming Events | |
Contact: | Club Commander Justin Carter - awana@silverdalebaptist.com |
Information: | We meet Wednesdays from 5:45 - 8:00pm. Our desire is to reach kids for Christ and train them to serve Him. Awana is for Preschool through 6th grade boys and girls. Here are some ways you could plug in: Leaders, Listeners, or other club staff (nursery, musical talent, sewing skills). |
Cubbies | Preschooler ages 3 and 4 (date of birth no later than August 31, 2004). Please note that Silverdale Baptist has a closed club for Cubbies. This is due to our current space limitations. The Cubbies program is available to children of parents serving in AWANA or helping with Dinner for Awana. If you are interested in enrolling your child in Cubbies and would like to serve, contact the Awana Commander. |
Sparks | Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd graders. |
Truth & Training | Boys club and girls club for 3rd through 6th grade. |
Trek & 24/7 | Trek is for middle school boys and girls; 24/7 is for high school students. Program offers students opportunity to excel independently. Students are encouraged to be Leaders In Training. |
How to Get Your Kids Started: | We would love to have the opportunity to teach your child about Jesus Christ and the free gift of salvation from our sins that He offers. To enroll your child please fill out the enrollment form (link will be posted when form has been completed) and bring it to club on any Wednesday night. Go to the check-in table for your club and let the secretary know that you have an enrollment form and would like to register. We also enjoy visitors, so feel free to stop by on any club night! |
Want to Serve In AWANA? | We are also always looking for volunteers in AWANA. There are only two requirements to serve. First, love Jesus Christ and submit to Him as your personal Lord and Savior; and second, love kids. If you are interested in serving please fill out the Staff Registration & a Children's Ministry Application (if you've never served in Children's Ministry at SBC) bring it to club, and talk to Justin Carter: Awana Commander. You can also view a copy of SBC's Child Abuse Reporting Proceedures & Child Handling Policy as well. You will find these documents in the resource center (from home page). |
